ERAS SEMINAR (910 KB)

Hello Everyone,
The Orange County Chapter of AORN is hosting our 20th annual seminar at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange on Saturday, March 8th from 0700-1215.  The seminar will be held in the Zoul Auditorium and will be offered both LIVE and VIRTUAL via TEAMS.  The cost is $75 which includes five CE's, breakfast and snacks.  The focus of this seminar will be Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS), which is an approach to surgical care that aims to improve patient outcomes through a multipronged approach: prehospital, preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative.  The benefits of ERAS practices are reduced postoperative complications, shorter lengths of stays, and an expedited recovery.  IT IS NOT JUST A TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT
We are excited to announce that Dr. J. Hudson Garrett and Dr. Lisa Spruce will be distinguished key speakers.  Dr. Garrett is an international expert in infection prevention and control, infectious disease, patient safety, vascular access, and post-acute care. As our opening keynote speaker, Dr. Garrett will set the tone of the seminar by discussing overall patient safety and positive patient outcomes that are yielded by utilizing ERAS protocols.   Dr. Spruce is the Senior Director, Evidence-based Perioperative Practice at AORN.  As the author of AORN's Recommended Guidelines for the Implementation of ERAS, Dr. Spruce will dive into the NEW 2025 Guidelines and Pathways, how to implement them at your organization, and strategies that will enhance your patient's health and wellbeing.
Registration is open. The TEAMS meeting appointment to those registered will be sent the week of the event.  If you have any questions, please contact me at: polly731@hotmail.com
